fulfilment of a pledge given last Fall by the Premier when Justice Desaulniers ruled that he was unable to issue an injunction against the anti-Semitic Goglu publications because he was not empowered by law to do so.

Funeral services were held here for Mendel Cohen, for the last 23 years a leading business man of Martinsburg, W. Va.Mr. Cohen, who was born in Russia 58 years ago, was a leader in Jewish religious and charitable work in Martinsburg and was a founder and active supporter of Bash Yonkev Synagogue. He was head of the Palestine relief work, past president of the B’nai Brith and director of the Chamber of Commerce. Two sons and a daughter survive.
