The study of Yiddish has been made obligatory in all schools — Jewish and non-Jewish — in the Jewish Autonomous Region of Biro-Bidjan, it was announced here today. A new textbook for use in the non-Jewish schools has been prepared.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
