Tel Aviv Area to Get 13,000 New Telephones; Seek Improvement in Communications

More than 13,000 now telephonos will be installed in Tel Aviv and the surrounding area, it was announced here today by the Communications Ministry. Many millions of dollars are invested in new telephonic equipment, the announcement added.

Speaking to newsmen, Minister of Communications David Remez declared that Israel’s Post Office Department is attempting to establish standards of communications which are as good as these in Europe. There are now 61 post offices and 79 postal agencies in the country.
