During the period of January-May 902 building permits for a total area of 103,654 square meters were granted by the Technical Department of the Tel Aviv municipality. During the corresponding five months of 1932, only 501 building permits were granted for a total area of 35,099 square meters. The permits issued this year provide for buildings with a total of 3,097 rooms and 88 stores.
