A memorandum demanding that the central station of the Palestine Railwav be transferred from Ludd to Tel Aviv, was presented by the municipality to H. C. Luke, Acting High Commissioner, who visited Tel Aviv yesterday.

The memorandum pointed out that the creation of the junction at Tel Aviv would connect the railway directly with the Jaffa harbor.

The municipality also asked that the Palestine government contribute to the Tel Aviv budget on an equal basis with its contributions to other municipal budgets.

The Haifa-Damascus Railway was deviated yesterday from its former route to pass across a bridge built over the Jordan by Engineer Pinchas Ruttenberg.
