Black flags mourning the alleged passing of the Balfour Declaration which is considered vitiated by the new British statement of policy were unfurled from a number of public buildings today in this all-Jewish city. This is contrary to the stringent police regulations against the display of banners or placards.

Simultaneously the General Federation of Jewish Labor placarded the streets with two huge posters. One urged contributions to the political fighting fund while the others reproduced the text of a resolution of protest by the Palestine Workers’ League.
