Tel Aviv University granted its first honorary Ph. D. degree here today when the honor was bestowed upon Moshe Sharett, chairman of the Jewish Agency executive and former Prime Minister.
In presenting the degree, Dr. George Wise recalled Mr. Sharett’s role as one of the founders of the University. Also present for the ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Abba Eban and Mayor Mordechai Namir of Tel Aviv.
