Announcement that the West End Synagogue will shortly begin the erection of a Synagogue House, on a plot adjoining the temple building at 160 West Eighty-second street, was made yesterday by Harry N. Wessel, president of the congregation.

Mr. Wessel said that a gift of $12,000 had been made by an anonymous donor and this had placed the fund required for the erection of the new building close to the required total.

Bella Falk, wife of Joshua Falk, born in Lemberg in the mid-sixteenth century, became an authority on the Talmud and gave decisions in difficult cases.
