Terror Halts Trial of Algiers Rioters

Refusal of ### witnesses to give testimony against ### the Moslems accused of murdering ### the Zerdoun and Elimi families, in ###ast year’s anti-Jewish outbreaks in ### Constantine, caused the adjourn######ent of the trial here today. Terror silenced them.

The trial will probably be resumed in a neighboring district. Should the guilt of the accused be proved, it is held unlikely the death sentence will be imposed out of fear for the reaction.
