The Alabama Legislature passed a resolution expressing support for Israel and supporting the international war against terror. The resolution, passed unanimously, mentions that Alabama in 1943 was the first state to officially call for the establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine, and “again desires to lead the nation” by expressing support for Israel.
