The anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto revolt against the German Army was observed here today at a meeting arranged by the Association of Fraternal and Benevolent Organizations of the American Jewish Congress.
Dr. Louis I. Newman, noted religious leader, addressing the audience, said that free men everywhere can take heart from the heroic example of the Jewish fighters of the Warsaw Ghetto. “The ghetto fighters kept up the struggle as an expression of their native bravery and as an inspiration to the free nations which have not yet defeated Hitler, ” he declared.
