The annual flower exhibition has opened in Haifa, with three million flowers from 25 countries on display. Some 70 percent of the flowers are grown in Israel. President Ephraim Katzir was given a wreath of flowers from the World Organization of Florists–Interflora–on the occasion of the organization’s 50th anniversary.
