The appointment of General Kurt von Schleicher as Chancellor of Germany is accepted with toleration by the Jewish press.
The “Voelkischer Beobachter,” the Nazi organ, on the other hand, heads its report of the appointment with the designation, “Schleicher, friend of the Jews.”
The Nazi organ evidently plans to adopt the same tactics with reference to Chancellor von Schleicher as it did toward former Chancellor von Papen, whom it habitually referred to as the “Jewish Chancellor.”
