The Arab League will hold its meeting of foreign ministers March 12 in Beirut instead of Cairo, the usual venue for the forum. Arab League officials made the change as a show of solidarity with Lebanon after Israel’s recent attacks on civilian power stations there. The United States has criticized growing Arab sympathy for Hezbollah gunmen in Lebanon, saying it is not wise to support enemies of peace.
