The Argentine government denounced the country’s former president for his role in hindering the probe into the bombing of a Jewish center. Argentina’s Special Investigation Unit issued its ruling Wednesday, saying Carlos Menem tried to guarantee that Iranian links to the 1994 attack on the AMIA Jewish center in Buenos Aires not be investigated. 85 people died in the bombing.
