The Birthright Israel program plans to send 2,000 young Jews on free 10-day trips to Israel this summer after sending 6,000 during the winter. The trips, which will take place from mid-May through mid-June, will primarily target people who were on the waiting list for the winter trip or who were unable to participate because of conflicts with their college schedules.
