The contribution that women might make to the search for peace in the Middle East will be the focus of a 17-day women’s study tour of Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria, to take place Jan. 11-22. The “Women’s Interreligious Study Tour of the Middle East” will be co-sponsored by the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (Roman Catholic), United Presbyterian Women, and the American Jewish Committee, in cooperation with the Division of Overseas Ministries of the National Council of Churches. The tour was announced at the AJ Committee’s National Executive Council meeting here.
