The Council of the Anglo-German Fellowship adopted a resolution today expressing regret over recent “events” in Germany — the anti-Jewish campaign — as a setback to an understanding between the nations. The resolution, however, said the council would continue efforts to maintain contact with Germany as “the best means of supporting the Prime Minister in his policy of appeasement.” More than 80 prominent Britons, including peers, Members of Parliament, leaders of the Church and all walks of life, signed a letter published by The Times today “to record a solemn protest before the conscience of civilization against the persecute on of the German Jews.
