The Czech Republic plans to contribute about $100,000 toward construction of a $2 million memorial to the victims of Nazism. The memorial will be located in the Czech village of Lidice, which was destroyed by the Nazis in 1942 in retaliation for the assassination of Nazi official Reinhard Heydrich.
