The death penalty would not provide justice for the man accused of attacking the Seattle federation, one victim said. “Death is a release,” Cheryl Stumbo told reporters Wednesday afternoon after King County Prosecutor Norm Maleng announced that he would not seek the death penalty against Naveed Haq. “People who kill other people don’t deserve a release. They need time to contemplate. That’s justice.”
