The Egyptian Bar Association plans to try Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in absentia for “war crimes against the Palestinian people,” Israel’s Army Radio reported. The group said it is mounting the trial because the International War Crimes Tribunal in the Hague is too weak to do so, according to the report.
