The European Union called for resumed Israeli-Palestinian negotiations. “Over the last few days, violence has reached a level not seen for many years,” the European Union’s 15 foreign ministers said in a statement Monday. “The absence of any political prospects is fueling further confrontation and playing into the hands of the extremists.”
