The European Union froze the assets of Islamic Jihad and the military wing of Hamas. According to the Associated Press, the European Union for the first time drew up a list of organizations accused by all 15 E.U. states of terrorist activity. The list, published last Friday, includes Islamic Jihad and the Hamas military wing, Iz a Din al- Kassam.
