The European Union will not convene to review its trade agreement with Israel, British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said. In a conversation with Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, Straw said Israel would not face E.U. economic sanctions because of its military operation in the West Bank, as several E.U. states had threatened in recent days.
