The following message was sent today to Premier King: “Toronto Jews mourn the loss of innocent victims in Palestine. The feeling here is that stronger measures should be taken by the Mandatory Power to maintain peace and protect Jewish rights. We pray your intervention on behalf of the Jews with the mother country and the League of Nations.” The telegram was signed by M. Gelber, president of the Central Division of Zionist Organization of Canada.
