The government should not give faith-based organizations any preferential treatment, a priest told members of the Anti-Defamation League at a rally in support of church-state separation. “Government and religion are friends, not partners,” the Rev. Robert Drinan told the group, which is lobbying members of Congress on church-state issues, hate crimes legislation and the Middle East peace process.
