The head of Germany’s intelligence service held secret talks in Syria, Lebanon and Israel this week on the fate of four Israelis being held hostage by Hezbollah. Israeli media reported that the German official briefed Israeli officials following a secret shuttle mission in Damascus and Beirut as part of efforts to mediate a prisoner swap.
