The head of the largest organization on the new Council of French Muslims strongly attacked the council’s president for meeting with the Israeli ambassador to France. On Wednesday, Mohamed Bechari, who heads the Moroccan-backed National Federation of French Muslims, described last week’s visit by ambassador Nissim Zvilli to the Grand Mosque, where he met with council head Dalil Boubakeur, as provocative.
