The organization’s spokesman in Israel was responding to remarks by Hezbollah’s secretary-general that the Red Cross is serving as a mediator after Israel reportedly rejected offers from Spain, Germany and Russia to try to negotiate the release of three Israeli soldiers and a civilian held by the Shi’ite group in Lebanon.
