The Iraqi Oil Ministry is ready to give the Alfa Group, a Moscow-based trade and industry consortium, the chance to develop major oil and gas deposits in Iraq, according to sources in Moscow. The rapidly expanding Alfa Group is widely believed to be owned and run by a number of Jewish businessmen affiliated with the Russian Jewish Congress.
