The Islamic Jihad movement issued a statement threatening to renew its attacks against Israel. “Every Zionist” is “a target,” said the statement, which was faxed to Reuters in Jerusalem. The statement added that the threat was in response to plans by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak to crack down on Palestinian militant groups opposed to the peace process.
