The Israel Association of Social Workers, the Labor Ministry and the World Zionist Organization are seeking to “import” unemployed or disaffected American Jewish social workers. More than 1000 social workers are needed here, 60 percent of them for service in development towns. This effort is being aided by David Bedein, an American-born social work student. He has been working through the Israel Aliya Center in New York.
