The Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs awarded six GIs its first ever “Grateful Nation Award.” JINSA President David Steinmann presented the glass eagle awards Monday at a reception in Arlington, Va., to a member of each of the five services — Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard — as well as to a special operations officer, for heroism in Iraq, Afghanistan and in New York on Sept. 11.
