The Labor Party’s Central Committee voted overwhelmingly tonight in favor of a 61 seat government embracing the Independent Liberal Party and the Civil Rights Party. Over 300 committee members supported the motion with only some 60 opposed. Other motions calling for a unity government or for the present government to stay in office till election were voted down.
