The leader of Britain’s opposition party called for arms shipments to Israel to be suspended. Menzies Campbell wrote to British Prime Minister Tony Blair that the shipments must be suspended “in light of the disproportionate military action in Lebanon and Gaza.” Blair’s office did not respond publicly.
