The Likud-Religious Bloc coalition that governs Tel Aviv is threatening to come apart in a dispute over Friday night screenings at a municipally supported “Cinematique.” The National Religious Party and Aguda members say they will leave the coalition unless the Friday night movies, a local youth project, are banned. Non-religious members of the Council say the “Cinematique” is valuable because it keeps youths from roaming the streets Friday nights.

There will be no Daily News Bulletin Sept. 16 and 17 due to the Rosh Hashna holiday.
