The mayor of Jerusalem offered to dispatch municipal grief counselors to bomb-rattled Madrid. “Unfortunately, Jerusalem has extensive experience with handling such incidents,” Mayor Uri Lupolianski wrote in a telegram to his counterpart in the Spanish capital after it was hit by a series of deadly bombings on Thursday that killed as many as 190 people. “As someone who has to cope with the scourge of terrorism on a monthly basis, I identify with the deep pain you are feeling and hope that this is the last attack suffered by Madrid.”
