The Moscow Helsinki Group, the oldest human rights organization in Russia, adopted at its 25th anniversary meeting a resolution condemning anti-Semitism and other forms of hatred. The resolution, proposed by Leonid Stonov of the Union of Councils for Soviet Jews, condemned Russian officials’ unwillingness to resist “the growth of anti-Semitic tendencies in Russian society” during the past few years.
