The number of Americans who think finding a peaceful solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is a very important goal for the United States increased significantly in the last year, according to a Gallup Poll. Forty- three percent think finding a peaceful solution is very important, up from 32 percent a year ago, but 56 percent don’t believe Israel and the Arabs will ever coexist peacefully.
