The Orthodox Union asked the Bush administration to appoint a new FCC chairman committed to enforcing broadcast decency laws. Rabbi Tzvi Hersh Weinreb, the O.U.’s executive vice president, called for the Federal Communications Commission to continue the process of levying large fines on broadcast outlets that broadcast sexual and vulgar images.
