The Orthodox Union supports drilling for oil in Alaska. Reducing the U.S. dependence on Arab oil is better for the United States and Israel, according to the group. Another group, the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs, also supports drilling in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, but most Jewish organizations oppose drilling in Alaska.
