The Palestinian Authority said the U.N. high commissioner for human rights is not welcome to visit the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Palestinian officials said Wednesday they were “surprised” by Mary Robinson’s desire to meet with Israeli opposition leader Ariel Sharon during her visit to the region this week. Robinson is making the visit to investigate the ongoing violence that has wracked the region.
