The Polish Merchants Union today proposed a compromise in the government regulations for Sunday trading to take the place of the modifications which have been withdrawn before even their publication.
The Union suggests that instead of modifying the Sunday compulsory closing law, all stores be permitted to remain open for two additional hours on Saturday evening. In this fashion the whole community will benefit, the organization holds.
