The rate of children’s poverty in Israel is higher than in other Western nations, a study said. The study for the Taub Center for Social Policy Studies in Israel by Israel’s National Insurance Institute found that 600,000 children — 30 percent of all Israeli youth — belong to poor families, the Israeli business newspaper Globes reported.
