The Reform movement joined an interfaith call for equitable distribution of jobs in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism joined Christian, Muslim and Buddhist groups last week in calling for the establishment of a commission that would include religious leaders and that would ensure that those displaced in the hurricane season are given priority in getting jobs created by the reconstruction.
