The Republican Party in Texas declared the United States a “Christian nation.” Delegates to the statewide convention approved a platform over the weekend that said America is a Christian nation founded on “fundamental Judeo-Christian principles based on the holy Bible.” The party also affirmed the rights of individuals to choose their religion.
