The screenwriter of “The Pianist” says art about the Holocaust plays a vital role in defending Israel. “Each time we draw attention to the Holocaust we are, I believe, educating, reminding, warning and proclaiming as loudly as we can our support for Israel’s continued existence,” Ronald Harwood told a London audience in a speech marking Holocaust memorial day.
