The Soviet of the city of Vitebsk has decided to confiscate the local main synagogue, reports the Yiddish Communist daily of Minsk, “Oktiabr.” Eight smaller synagogues, known as Minyanim, are also to be closed.
The Soviet of Mohilev decided to confiscate two of the smaller synagogues in the city.
