The speakers of the Israeli and Palestinian legislatures, Avraham Burg and Ahmed Karia, made a joint visit to Paris on Wednesday. After meeting with French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin, the two said international assistance, including from Europe, was necessary to help end Israeli-Palestinian violence.
