The spiritual leader of Israel’s fervently Orthodox Shas Party called on settlers in the West Bank and Gaza Strip to avoid confrontations with Israeli soldiers. Rabbi Ovadia Yosef said last Friday that settlers who get into violent confrontations with soldiers are crossing “a red line.”
